Every evening at 9.30pm, from June 23rd to September 8th, the cloisters of Santa Corona host movie nights in the moonlight.
The programming is extremely varied and crosses all film genres. Of particular interest, however, are the “Art Tuesdays”, evenings dedicated to the screening of documentaries and films that tell the lives and works of the greatest European masters: Canova, Palladio, Bernini, Tintoretto, Leonardo and Van Gogh. Furthermore, we recommend two films, in particular: the first is the documentary Free Solo, winner of the Academy Award for Best Documentary of 2019 and scheduled for Friday 5th July, which recounts the memorable and exciting solo ascent of US climber Alex Honnold on the wall of El Capitan; the second is the biopic First Man by Damien Chazelle, winner of the 2019 Oscar for best special effects, which will be screened on Saturday 20th July to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the moon landing.
