The Rice Fair of Isola della Scala (Verona) has been, for half a century, the greatest and most beloved Italian festival dedicated to risotto and rice.
There the visitors will find one of the most worldwide popular dishes of the Italian cuisine, prepared according to recipes that count decades of history. To prepare it, chefs from different regions of Italy and risotto master cookers who cook the risotto at the Fair with the same care and tradition the have to prepare it at home for their families during the rest of the year. Many of them in their lifes have already cooked hundreds of thousands of risotto. A unique and unparalleled experience, that is transmitted in the flavors and scents of their exceptional dishes.
And the fair is not only food: parades in medieval costumes, shows, sports and conventions animate 26 days of celebration.
The Rice Fair also hosts one of the most visited fairs in northern Italy, with 150 exhibitors from different regions of the country.
