The 16th edition of the “Fiera del Bollito con la Pearà e sapori d’autunno” (fair of the boiled beef, the pearà and autumn flavors) will take place in Isola della Scala (Verona), from Thursday 10th to Sunday, November 27th.

Pearà is a creamy pepper sauce typical of Verona’s cuisine. Born as a poor man’s dish, to exploit and reuse the scraps of food that were available (grated stale bread, beef bone marrow, the less valuable cuts of meat, and the broth), has now become an essential cornerstone of the Venetian culinary tradition.

In addition to boiled beef served with pearà, you can enjoy other typical dishes of Verona and the surrounding area, such as tortellini and tagliatelle with chicken livers, but there will also dishes made with seasonal ingredients of autumn: pumpkin, chestnuts and mushrooms.

The event is hosted in the covered and heated “Palariso”, opened for the occasion even during lunch. Indeed, the fair is open to the public from Monday to Saturday from 12 pm to 2 pm, and from 6:30 pm to 11 pm; and on Sundays is open nonstop from 11:30 am to 11 pm.
